The Puerto Montt Port Company, committed to maintaining security standards for protection, wishes to implement an "Intelligent Security Pilot" at the International Passenger Terminal and City-Port Link Centre of Puerto Montt. This will involve the leasing, installation, configuration, and commissioning of a set of equipment that includes but is not limited to security cameras, a video analysis system for the identification, classification, and alerting of security events, installation of emergency alarm buttons in strategic and visible locations, among others, and the provision of the Intelligent Security Management Service.
This system aims to enhance the safety and experience of individuals by capturing, analysing, and managing real-time images, as well as coordinating remote responses through established protocols with human security teams, allowing immediate notification of emergency situations, along with advanced surveillance and analysis capabilities.
The system must be capable of efficiently managing pedestrian traffic during peak demand periods and operating in an integrated manner with other port control and monitoring systems, such as the "Intelligent Passenger Management System". Therefore, it is expected that the Intelligent Security Pilot—PSI will have a robust integration interface.
The pilot must consider at least two cameras for facial capture and recognition in the embarkation and disembarkation process, and therefore must use a service-based architecture, where the PSI exposes and consumes services, particularly for facial recognition and the identification of individuals through the reading of QR codes (ISO/IEC 18004).
The initiative aims to streamline passenger embarkation and disembarkation processes, reducing waiting times and improving individuals' perception of security.
Additionally, the system must enhance the safety of individuals participating in events held at the City-Port Link Centre during periods outside the summer cruise season (using the same infrastructure).
